About us Welcome to Home9
Home9 Started With a Dare.
A friend showed up to our round in a neon polo he'd just bought at the pro shop. Four holes in, it tore open at the seam. Between the laughter, someone turned to me and said: "Hey Z, you should build your own golf brand." Before I could answer, someone else cut in: "No way. Too hard. Can't be done."
I've spent my career building brands for others. Usually, I had a team of people along with a budget and organizational support. Building something entirely my own meant I’d have none of that. Just me and a process I'd spent years developing for everyone else. Building this has not been linear or simple. I built things that didn't work and rebuilt them. I stayed curious when the smarter move might have been to walk away.
That's the game. In golf and in life; you dig it out of the dirt and keep going.
The name Home9 came to me on a summer evening while my son and I were stealing a few holes before the sun went down. Nobody ahead of us, nobody behind us. He looked over and said: "Dad, this is my favorite time of day. Just the two of us playing the Home9."
The compass rose mark is a reminder that no matter who you are, life will test you. But if you know your True North — if you work your tail off, consistently show up for the people you love most, and treat people with kindness — you'll find your way. For golfers like us, the Home9 is part of the journey.
Home9 is built for the relentless golfer. The one who grabs an emergency 9 whenever possible, lives for the annual guys trip, re-watches his swing at midnight, and keeps a putter by his desk to make those conference calls go a little faster. The one who knows the game reflects who you are.
If any of that sounds like you, welcome.
